One day while going up, shes sees a boat and sees a handsome man overstep upon Eric having a party with a couple men and she falls in love with him. Its love at runner sight. Unfortunately, a storm came upon them and Eric fell overboard. Ariel feared for his life and she saved his life. She sang to him while he was unconscious and once he gains ken she quickly leaves to avoid being discovered. Memorized by Ariels voice, Eric vows to engender her. Trident later learns that Ariel is in love with a human and he destroys all of Ariels treasures that she got from the surface. Shes so upset that she leaves to a witch named Ursula. Ariel begs Ursula to make her human.
